Feeling a bit sad
Sep. 6th, 2010 09:34 pmI'm giving this cross-posting malarkey a try. It seems to be easy, even for a hopeless case like me!
Our much-loved cat has gone missing. She's very old, very frail and unwell, and almost never goes outside now. Yesterday afternoon, she miaowed to be outside, so I opened the door and let her in the garden. About 15 minutes later she hadn't come back like normal and I thought, well, it's a nice afternoon, she's sunning herself. She didn't come home last night or today (she's never stayed out all night before and she's 18) and I have this awful feeling that she's gone somewhere to die. We've looked everywhere. The boys are very upset - we had tears at bedtime. So me = sad. Her sister died 5 years ago and I still miss her. I know she's just a cat and she's not been gone 2 days yet, but... yeah.
